  1. Hi John I would be interested if there is any room left, Brian (The small cog in the larger Dalek machine D=)
  2. Hi all, some more progress has been made, I have added some fibreglass rings mounted upon MDF to make it more rigid and the plunger arm is now in, I used a screen divider pole as there was already a slit cut into the metal tubing and have used a disk cutter to make aside locking system so the plunger can be locked out fully extended (talk about long arm of the claw) more to follow Brian (The small cog in the larger Dalek machine D=::::::o )
  3. Hi All another Doctor who guest will be appearing at this years stars of time event its Clem So from the new Doctor who series and a very nice man to talk to indeed. Brian (The small cog in the larger Dalek machine D= D= D= )

  9. Hi all . more progress has been made, I have swapped out the old bolts on the neck slats and drilled holes on the neck to mount the inner mesh and inner black collar, ive cut down the lower skirt section (After noticing that the measurements are in CM not inches ) I have also put in the plunger bolts ready for mounting. More to follow in the week, Brian (The small cog in the larger Dalek machine D=:::::o )
  10. Hi All progressing on Mr Dalek again this week , Ive mounted the rotation ring on top of the neck ready for the rotation system and have disc cut the inner mesh fencing to fit the inner neck ( not quite a perfect job but looks great), more to follow. 12. Hi all . After a long spell over the xmas period I'm taking some well earned rest from the daily grind of the working variety and batteries now fully charged I'm back on the build, I managed to start on the upper section on the lower skirt and neck interior. I firstly made a template out of parcel paper then stencilled it on to a piece of shiny steel then scored along the lines with a disc cutter, then I bent along the lines until it separated from the main sheet just like a perforated coupon , I have temporarily attached the lower skirting section to the Dalek to gauge how well it looks before I add the blocks and bolts to secure it to the main body. More to follow. Brian D=(the small cog in the larger Dalek machine D= D= D= D=)

Saturday spent fixing first bit of 6mm bendy mdf to my shoulder frame, I had a couple of clamps but a friend lent me about 8 and needed every one. My son in law loaned me his multi tool which cut like a dream, however, he needs it for work so had to give it back so went to Wickes and bought one for £25, a bit cheaper than his top of the range model but it still does a great job. Have fibre glassed my dome plug after waxing the he'll out of it, fingers crossed it will come off ok.

My dalek will have a name, talking to my friend about old films, and we talked about the  Eiger Sanction, and came up with the name Hemlock, so now my half finished skirt, nearly fully sanded dome plug and shoulder frame has a name...Hemlock
