Another primer shot...

The edges of the holes in the skirt were sanded to remove any roughness.

The inside of the skirt was primered and then given a coat of oil-based white gloss paint.
No areas of bare wood or MDF were left unpainted. This should make the Dalek fairly resistant to damp conditions.

The same care was taken with the preparation of the skirt as with the shoulders.
Many hours were spent smoothing the surface.
