Goon X Collar Template
By John
Printable templates for the upper and lower collars for the Project Dalek 'Goon X' Dalek.
Note that the collars are designed to be compatible with both versions of the shoulders illustrated in the plans. The templates are available in PDF format for printing and also in DXF format for CNC purposes.
The PDF is meant to be printed with tiling enabled so that it is printed over several sheets of paper. Ideally, crop marks should also be enabled so that the sections can be accurately re-assembled. The sheets can then taped together and the finished collars transferred onto card for test fitting. Once any adjustments are done, the card templates can be used to transfer the shape to the final collar material, for cutting.

Gun Mantle Template
By John
This is a printable template for the three mantles that are fitted to the gun on early classic Daleks. The document can be printed out onto A4 paper (landscape) and used to prepare acrylic sheet for cutting. The central hole and the holes required to holding the rods are all marked with centre points for easy drilling. A version of this template is also available in the Mk1 and Mk2 plans, but is also included here without the dimensions obscuring the illustration.

Genesis Gun Petals Template
By MadTrax
After a look at the Genesis episodes to see the petals behaviour, I wanted to use shim stock and cut a template to fit over the rod and fix in place with a spacer on either side for rigidity. There are two designs in the one template:
The Rounded Tip version. The Straight Tip version.
The preview photos below give an examples of the look of each version.
Simply print on A4 at 100% size and cut out whichever option you prefer. The outside diameter should be 152mm.

If printing to A4, the PDF should be printed with tiling enabled so that it is printed over several sheets of paper. Ideally, crop marks should also be enabled so that the sections can be accurately re-assembled. The sheets can then taped together and the finished former shape transferred to the material you are using to construct the former.
(If you don't know what a dome former is, try doing a search on the Forum or read through the dome construction topics and build diaries. Dome forming is also explained in the Dalek Builder's Workshop Manual.)

I'm in my 50s and have since I was a boy watching Dr Who in the 70s always dreamed of making a Dalek for fun, now I have the time and resources, along with your forum's help it's time to live that dream.
I have watched some of the members videos, and I am very impressed with what I have seen.
Long live the Who verse.
I will document my progress and share any innovations I make

Great set of models that printed and fitted together really easily. Can't comment on accuracy as I'm no expert but very happy with the result

Great plan but the pivot does not print as it is not complete like the eye stalk

These plans seem to be very concise and detailed. Hopefully, there shouldn't be any problems making the Dalek now.........
