Very nice and the red light makes it very ominous. Im sure there was always more than 1 executioner as they were once the imperial special weapons daleks. Loved part 10 oh its spicing up now!

@ADHDavros One of the tools in that photo was a put in by mistake but the other one is to vacuum form the dome lights.   Thought I would post a couple pics of the dome construction. I have constructed it using a foam sandwich construction method     Need to put fiberglass on it still but other than that the dome is ready to go.   Not sure when next post will be. Having computer issues. Until next time   Iand

Thanks for all the advice, guys; I'm going to try the diffusing film for the acrylic gun. At least if that isn't right I can just pull it out again. Mixed progress: I wasn't that happy with my gun collars anyway, but I ended up drilling the rod holes too big. Couldn't work out how to fix that so I've thrown them away and will start again. Better news is that I fitted the shoulder surrounds. Liberal PVA plus I screwed them in place to hold the bend. Then added pins and will remove the screws once I'm sure it's tight. I think I'll resin it too; I have a little resn and glass left over from the skirt. Not quite a perfect fit; some gaps (shown) and some overlaps (not shown as I've cut them off) but I'm not too unhappy; nothing some filler and sanding won't fix. Of course gaps around the gun box too; to be expected but some filing, filling and sanding will address that too.

I've been working away over the holidays, but not as much as I should have been. I tried several other ways to join the halves of the eye but none were satisfactory so I ended up moulding the inside using auto filler. I did this by taking some that I had prised off the upper half when removing the failed connector attempt and gluing it to the top. Then using masking tape at the back of the sloppy filler as I put it on. I lined the inside of the top ball with more masking tape, with a fair amount coming out the lip, and stuck them together. Twenty minutes later, I prised them apart before the poly set really hard and did a clean up. I got the idea from some Death Star ice cube moulds, which use this simple friction. Looks good when joined up! Two short sections of pvc pipe make collars for the inner tube so it stays straight inside the outer one - the upper one also does duty keeping the screws in place of the connection from the iris lever as I found the  stress of turning it caused them to pop.  I found an old floating bath light led and sawed off its lens to make the inner diffuser of the eye. I had to pack it out with a layer of duct tape otherwise the lens would touch the iris when closed. This sits above a dome LED I connected with a piece of electrical lead cut from a dead set of christmas lights. The lead goes through the inner tube and will be connected to a switch and battery when done.   Here's the eye, all put together. The screws through the face that hold the thin perspex cover go into the front of the iris so I don't need to secure the halves of the ball at all - the friction of the inner curve does reasonably well, but the outer clear tube will automatically secure it in place. (I had moulded some more filler into the base of the lower half to hold the tube straight but had to remove it as there wasn't quite enough room with the screwed on bracket.) I'll post a video of it one and the iris opening and closing when I can.
