About This File

Completely revised and updated, this is the first version of the Imperial Dalek plans to come out of beta. Now expanded to 20 pages, the latest version includes revised and updated dimensions and additional illustrations and details.

 

This booklet contains the plans for the Imperial Daleks featured in the 1988 story Remembrance Of The Daleks. The plans for the skirt section may also be used as a basis for construction the Special Weapons Dalek, from the same story.

 

The introduction and footnotes provide additional information on the construction methods employed on the original props. Essential reading for all Imperial Dalek builders and enthusiasts.

I've done a few comparisons with these plans to prop images and noticed some things that were off. Namely, this back panel on the skirt looks to be at a much more slanted angle on the prop than on the plans which makes the skirt look off ; The hemispheres also look like they come in at a sharper angle on the back panel as well. One other thing that I noticed is the bottom fender's difference from the top fender, on the prop the bottom fender is much more closer to the top fender than in the plans. I really enjoy this dalek design and hope that these plans also get a revision, but if I'm wrong about these differences, I apologise.

The plans you are using are still the beta version and inconsistencies are to be expected. A comprehensive update, (taking these plans out of beta) is in the pipeline and will be released later this year.

The new version of the plans is now available. This revision addresses many issues raised earlier.
