Dalek Two Zero
I have been neglecting Two Zero while working on Dalek 131, there are a few little jobs to do.· 0 replies
Various bits of paint and "metal" need touch up/repair, and the torn bumper.
I had a hemi missing for the whole event last weekend!
A wire is missing from the gunstick.
My claw is loose and weak.
My interior storage could do with increasing/organizing.
Blindspot cams need a filter for bright sunlight.
The £3 secondhand webcam I've used for 4 and a half years has finally given up, it barely worked 15% of the weekend.
If I can work out how to power the new working iris eye, I hope to hide an endoscope in it as my new eye camera.
I'd love to have a bigger and better quality camera, but that isn't compatible with the functioning iris.
I've spent over 260 hours operating Two Zero since 2020, I'm surprised it has survived this long, it has hit a LOT of potholes...!

A manual train set forward/reverse controller maybe? Or something like this, if you want it automated. -

Just found this wonderful tiny board. Look how tiny it is, perfect for embedding in a dalek gun to control the lights making it a self contained wireless device. Very interesting, I have ordered one to play with for future projects. -

I think you need to identify the motor you're hoping to control. I think you have three terminals on the switch because reversing the polarity will reverse the motor. And a two-way potentiometer (like a kind of volume switch) will start slow, and build speed the more you turn it. Centre-ing the knob should bring the dome to a standstill, before it reverses direction. But then what I know about electronics could be written on the fullstop at the end of this sentence. How did I do? C'mon, someone. Help.
