Does anyone remember an early cgi render of a Dalek crawling out of its casing? It was around the time the 'Storm' design came out & the Dalek under the water.· 0 replies

Really impressed by the video of the mostly original 1966 Dalek auctioned by Bamfords in 2016 posted by @Mike Aubert in his build diary.· 0 replies

Hi Justin, Sure, however I can help. I'm around. I start on a big TV project at the studio from Monday, so I'll only be around weekends for a few months. I'm trying some new stuff, for me at least, with my NSD build, in that the skirt hemis are 1.2mm thick brushed brass which I'm having made in China. Pic attached. I'm also going to try casting the gun and plunger spheres directly onto the tubes, should be fun! K -

Hey y'all, long time necessary update as to what happened with this build diary and the status of it. If you haven't been able to tell this came to a complete halt ever since my last update. I'd gotten a new 3D printer - an Anycubic Kobra 2 Max was what was recommended to me by a now ex-friend - after some time away from this project. I saw the increased size in the build plate as an absolute win because it would actually support all the larger pieces I was going to have to print for this project... ... and then this got away from me! I did some side stuff but never got around to continuing work on Ger, which I'm kicking myself for because when Hurricane Helene decided to grace the gulf with her presence last year my house was hit by the storm surge. 3.5 feet of storm surge and sewage flooded the house, effectively ruining everything inside including both of my 3D printers which I couldn't fit into my car in time before we evacuated. With luck and hope I'll be able to continue this again someday soon. But for now, Dalek Ger remains in limbo. Hopefully I'll be able to return one day soon with some good news regarding my progress! -
