Dalek Two Zero
I find an Endoscope with Screen invaluable for covering my blind spots.· 0 replies
I have been paying £12-£20 for these - now just £7 on Amazon!
The combined screen and endoscope means no connection issues.
Charges on USB C so can be plugged into a powerbrick while in use.
My bigger/costlier ones white out in bright sunlight or become useless in dark interiors.
These cheap and cheerful models seem unaffected by either of those extreme light conditions so I'll order another one for Two Zero's back up cam.
I've left the originals in too, which work in normal daylight and interior light.

Dalek Two Zero
Had a great 3 days for Sci-Fi Scarborough, covered several miles up and down the seafront plus a lot of patrolling the venue, finished every day on 100% battery power!· 0 replies
Several issues need to be resolved though;
1 - a bit of front bumper support fell off as I loaded
2 - hatch corners are disintegrating
3 - better positioning of screens inside
4 - increased interior storage
5 - make a larger headset for the new mic
6 - improve layout of cockpit for powerbricks & iris control
For a Dalek built in 2020 that has carried out 49 missions, most of those over 8 hours, many 2 days and often outside, it's not doing badly!

Started the CAD work to make a mini-Dalek for Dalek Racing, Dalek Laser Tag, and maybe a Cooperative Game where Dalek teams had to get Plutonium spheres into a reactor at a set amount of time with an electromagnet in the plunger for entertaining and teaching Arduino and electronics and 3D printing (and by extension Prop Building!) to the masses at local Maker Faires.· 0 replies
After weeks of learning new tricks in CAD, A friend found a complete Dalek CAD model on Thingiverse.
I feel... sad.
