      Dalek Two Zero

The problem I'm having with 3 Daleks is space, shuffling them around between trailer & garage to allow work on them each.
I need the wreck out of the trailer to work on Two Zero (I should be able to work on it in the trailer, it's the front bumper that needs repairing).

I need the dome and plunger from the wreck for the new Dalek, then to replace the dome and appendage on the wreck - but that can go on a back burner, the wreck can stand down till the other two Daleks are both fixed/completed.

I find an Endoscope with Screen invaluable for covering my blind spots.

I have been paying £12-£20 for these - now just £7 on Amazon!

The combined screen and endoscope means no connection issues.

Charges on USB C so can be plugged into a powerbrick while in use.

My bigger/costlier ones white out in bright sunlight or become useless in dark interiors.

These cheap and cheerful models seem unaffected by either of those extreme light conditions so I'll order another one for Two Zero's back up cam.

I've left the originals in too, which work in normal daylight and interior light.

This build is taking forever 🤪   I’ve been poking at it on and off Sufficient progress to report now regarding the skinning of the inside of the skirt.    Not sure if anyone has done this before but here is what I did.  Refinement on “how to” are most welcomed as I need to do another one for the group.  Here is what the open skirt looked like with the facing of the skirt in and fibreglassed.   Easiest thing I taught to install the inside frame and get exact measurements of the panels was to make an inside frame for each panel.  Muked around to figure the correct angels and proceeded to cut each piece and held them in place friction just to get everything sorted.  mark each piece with a corresponding letter and top bottom.  once the frame was all cut, I glued the frame together and once dry, drilled a hole in each end to place a dowel.  This provided more rigidity to the frame when manipulating it.  to ease with sliding in the dowel and applying glue, I pinched each dowel slightly with a set of vice grip     here you see the before and after with a bit of sanding to level everything out.    test fit it all again and everything fits 🤗   I then traced all the frames on some 1/8 ply and cut everything. In my haste I did not take pictures when cutting I overlapped (cut bigger all the prices) test fit and adjusted cuts as required.  I’ll admit there was not a lot of measuring and a lot of eyeballing.    I left a small overlap for the top and bottom and once all panels were screwed in with hex wood button head screws (2.5). Once I was happy with the fit. I nailed everything in place to ensure no more play in the fit. I traced a line from the outside on the top bottom extra material. Cut with straight edge and circular saw leaving a 1 mm overlap which I sanded   Some minor touch up to do and add a few screws but sufficiently done to allow me to move to the next part.    skinning inside of neck and shoulders.    But that will be for another day

I worry that my meds are in need of adjusting, since I seem to be losing focus. I dithered about making new shoulders or new fenders, even though I don't really NEED either. I've started on the fenders for no good reason, but if I go as far as making the full set, I will need to upgrade my wheels. I think it will also restrict my transport options. Having to seriously consider the trailer purchase, which means getting a tow bar fitted. That DOES mean that we could transport the whole team along with the dalek in one vehicle, but I don't know what the protocol is for parking a vehicle with trailer in public car parks. Do you take up two spaces and pay twice?   Anyway, here's the six pieces I have printed so far. I'm going to need more nuts and bolts too, I guess...
