Dalek Two Zero
Spent the afternoon fixing and painting Two Zero's bumper - it looks less saggy· 0 replies

I have an ambitious project in mind for 1/60th scale models, which is what I estimate to be the scale for D&D.· 2 replies
(5ft being scaled down to 1 inch.)
I would like to know whether I should document this process if I make a custom design using the measurements on this site, as I would be using custom shoulders for the sake simplicity.
The below image (by MightyOtaKing on DeviantArt) should give a reasonable idea for how these custom shoulders would look:

Right, wreck is in the shed. I'm using the dome on my TV Invasion build, but will have to change the light covers and paint the eye silver.· 0 replies
I'm also taking the plunger off it.
Hope to be able to try and straighten Two Zero's bumper while it is in the trailer.

Reached the end of the current spool of PLA (yes, I only buy one at a time, yes it would be cheaper per unit to buy several, no, I don't have the available petty cash to do that, yes, I wish more people bought my plays so I could be rich and/or famous....) Decided to increase my stress by getting out my Sunlu filament welding machine. For a mere forty dollars, this device can sort of connect two strands of filament in only five six easy steps, as long as you have three hands and the patience of a saint. I'm now watching the next piece being printed, and waiting for the notification that the filament has jammed. In all seriousness, if you're careful, it does work. Certainly works better than a lot of the DIY methods I saw online. But I can't help feeling that what they have engineered here is the absolute minimum. With a little more thought and effort they could have built something that was easier and more reliable. But I may have saved myself thirty dollars this morning, by joining together three or four dog-ends of spools. Probably enough to print off the next two pieces, if it doesn't jam. -
