Set up the dividers this weekend. Was hoping the weather would hold out and I could get more done, unfortunately it’s been drizzling on and off the last few days. Maybe next weekend. I was amazed how long it took to set these up 😂 -

New back up cam, the old one has a fuzzy screen, no good for a crucial station -

Everything had around 10 coats of wax Then started making the dividing walls. Made them from mdf then sealed any gaps with clay. The dividers had a couple of wax coats then a coat of pva. A coat of gelcoat brushed on. Then chopped strands around the edges Then a few layers of matting. The backing boards popped off easy. The main parts came out a lot easier than i expected. Unfortunately i was rushing and put the fibreglass on too soon and its reacted with the gelcoat in places. I'll stick some gelcoat filler in there and sand and polish flat. The shoulder mold released easy but then caught on a slat. There was an undercut i missed. The plug was ruined. The mold just needed some minor repair work. I filled it with gelcoat filler, sanded and polished then around 8 - 10 coats of wax. Assembled the mold Then gelcoat and chopped strands around the edges again I tinted the gelcoat light grey, i ran out then mixed more so it now has two different greys. It popped out really easy apart from one section. It release then stuck. I think i missed an undercut on a slat top. I ended up cracking the mold. It looks bad but shouldn't be too bad to repair. Ill go over the outside with more matting then repair the inside with gelcoat filler. I'll also modify the inside to get rid of the part its catching on. The shoulders came out fine. With 3d printed parts added. I will print another set then make a silicone mold. -
