NSD Iris 1.0.1

About This File

Three bits of geometry making up an NSD iris rotation based on the plans attached here. The files are 3mm thick as they would be from acrylic.

The geometry is placed next to one another, if anyone wants it as three separated files I can upload. Feel free to give me a shout if there are issues with the files or if you want alterations. I don't have a 3D printer, so can't test them.

Released

Edit- here are the STL files as three separate objects, as requested.

Bec requested a DXF, I'll try to do that this afternoon.

Separate files would be great Thanks Aaron. If you could zip it up as a .dxf file, well, I'd cut one out in a few minutes.

@bec weirI don't have one as a DXF / 2D file format, I'm afraid. That is to say, I did, used it to extrude the 3D version and now I have that.

I'll download the STL, break it up into three files and upload again tomorrow for you.

Thanks.

Be nice to have a .dxf file though. much easier (and faster) to laser cut than 3d print.

Since we need two of the one disc and they are all printed together how would one get the double of the one disc?

Thanks for the great files

@bec weir Easy, I'll try to make up the files today. I believe Alun who made the original video they are based around actually had DFX files for it. I think the ones in my NSD are hand cut from cardboard. (Well, I *know* they are, I didn't have access to a laser cutter back then.)

@jbourd Good point! I've uploaded the files separately for ease of printing.
