Shawcraft Mk1 & 2 TV Dalek Collar Templates 3.0.1

About This File

Printable templates for the upper and lower collars for the Shawcraft Mk1 and Mk2 TV Dalek.

Note that the collars are designed to be compatible with the Version 3 plans and above, though they should also work reasonably well with the earlier plans.

The PDF is meant to be printed with tiling enabled so that it is printed over several sheets of paper. Ideally, crop marks should also be enabled so that the sections can be accurately re-assembled. The sheets can then taped together and the finished collars transferred onto card for test fitting. Once any adjustments are done, the card templates can be used to transfer the shape to the final collar material, for cutting.

Hi, I've just downloaded the template and printed it (I didn't know my printer could print this way!). Unfortunately, the printout is apparently not the correct size. I have attached a photo of my scale rule next to the size check box which shows the check box being smaller than it should be i.e. just under 9mm instead of 10mm as marked on the template. My printer won't allow any scaling when I print in sections, so can anyone advise please? If I use the template as printed, it will be too short. The depth may be ok as I don't think it would be all that noticeable.

Response from the author:

Without knowing more about the hardware, software and OS you're using, it's difficult to say.

There may be a means of calibrating the printer or alternative software/drivers that will allow for scaling when tiling.
