    Free

    Gazing Globe Drill Box

This is a jig I made to drill a pilot hole in a 10cm gazing globe. The globes I used were Rome brand purchased thru Amazon. Each had a single hole already drilled. This jig allowed me to drill a matching hole directly opposite.

The base has leaves which can be clamped to the drill press table. It also has a peg which fits the existing hole in the globe. I clamped down the base, fitted the globe to the pin in the base, pushed the cylinder down over it and then the lid. The lid has a center hole.

There's also test cylinder file which is only 5mm tall. If you want to use this jig I suggest you first print the test cylinder and make sure it is the right size for your globe. It should fit very snugly.

    NSD Neck Matt

STL files to print replica pool matt for an NSD neck.  Modeled after actual pool matting used on my first NSD build, which was not authentic Heronrib/Heronair.  Just the closest equivalent I could find at the time.  Designed to glue into a 3D printed set of neck rings.  3 levels are designed smooth where they will mate to the neck rings to provide more surface for gluing.  You may need to trim here and there to fit your neck rings.

Printable Oil Seal Surrounds and Hemispheres (Glowing?)

My take on oil seal surrounds and hemispheres... I'm not sure these are practical as it takes an hour to print a surround and a couple for a hemisphere, but here they are...
The reason I did this was because brialath has talked about a Disco Dalek and I wanted to see if WS2812B LEDs would be able to light a 100mm hemisphere. Since I made the hemisphere, I decided a mount for the aforementioned LEDs built into the surround might be good, and the traditional center bolt doesn't really work because the LED needs to be there.
Since I could I also made a solid hemisphere that might print better, and a surround with a centered bolt hole for an M4 bolt, and a little block to keep the bolt head from turning. I considered glynharper's surrounds, however I wanted an exact fit for the hemisphere I'd made, and I wanted a enough room for a 12-14mm washer to distribute the load. So that meant I needed a block to hold the M4 bolt head, the recessed version wouldn't work. Also, of course I needed a version with a spot for the LED in the middle.
The surrounds are intended to fit exactly in the middle of the hemisphere. They probably need some sort of adhesive, but for my printer it was a really close fit.
Since normal humans could reuse these for xmas ornaments or something, I put them on Thingiverse, with more info... http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:726897 (including the openscad & sketchup files for them).

Ferrain - Dome Rotation Involute Spur Gear V5

Dome Rotation Involute Spur Gear V5

I set up a virtual Windows 7 machine, with a trial copy of Sketchup Pro & downloaded the actual DXF files from the Involute Spur Gear Builder & after some work Saturday morning produced a totally new gear configuration.

    Sunday

I completed two 45 degree sections successfully - The 45 degree files are included but were cut into sections with Sketchup without Netfabb.
I completed three 90 degree sections (with only one aborted print) but again were cut into sections with Sketchup without Netfabb

These NEW 90 Degree files are based on the original DXF files\Sketchup model I used, only with holes removed\repositioned locking lugs & sliced via Netfabb.

    Addendum

The prints all fitted tightly against my Rockler\Lazy Susan Bearing, but possibly due to mix & matching of 45 & 90 degree sections or not using Netfabb as a slicing tool, I found I had a small gap, please adjust\check the Internal diameter & I have included the Sketchup file with a complete ring, the exploded 45 degree sections & the cog, which you can tailor for your own motor\drive configuration.

Height has been increased to 10mm - Each section typically took 75 minutes to print at a medium resolution settings on a Makerbot Replicator 2 at 8mm height.

"Eve of the Daleks" Gatling Gun for NSD. Full Size, Rotating

This is the NSD "Gatling Gun" weapon as seen on the trailers for the 2022 New Year's episode "Eve of the Daleks".
This 3D model was made before the episode aired, so the scren shots were very limited.  It looks accurate to my eye, however more details may become apparent once we get to see the entire episode.
I used Fusion360 to create this model.  It's split into multiple parts for ease of printing.
You will need to provide a 25.4mm (1 inch) diameter pipe for the arm, and also mount a suitable 102mm (4 inch) ball-joint.  I always use magic 8-ball toys for my ball joint.
The eight small pipes coming out of the rear of the gun part are 6mm diameter.  You can either print them from my files, or optionally use stainless steel drinking straws, cut to length.
I did include an internal gear in the main body of the gun, and an additional pinion gear in case somebody wants to motorize the rotation of the weapon.  I haven't had time to figure that out yet.

    NSD screw-on Hemi.stl

    NSD screw-on Hemi
Here is my first dive into creating an STL
Because I want the ability to change my Hemi's at Christmas to have lights inside of them, Dalek camouflaged as a Christmas tree, I created this Screw on Hemi holder.

    Two parts,
Internal bracket has three holes for screws, center could be removed but I wanted it to ensure the hemi was centered, it also has a bracket for my LED lights as seen in picture.
Outside bracket is simply a bracket to glue on the Hemi using two parts Christmas ornaments and then simply screw it onto the internal bracket.

Could be handy for quick replacement option of hemi
    Hope it helps someone else

Oh! The screw holes are for 3/16.

    Dalek MK3 Slats

    Dalek MK3 Slats.

Suitable for 3D printing or on a CNC machine - Holes are 2mm in diameter.

Accurate as per the latest MK3 Plans - Caveat I always assumed the slats were metal like the collars, not acrylic consequently the thickness reflects the width of the collars\belts (Unless John & co can update me).

It looks as though these will be time intensive to 3D print (2.5 hours per large slat), if you are using a glass build plate (Like moi), a nice smooth glossy finish should be produced.

Update - Additional info & picture.

First Small Slat Printed (It lifted a bit on the build plate).

New Sailfish firmware installed away from stock Makerware gives additional information as to the amount of material (Height increased to 2.5mm with settings at 0.1mm layer height & 8% Infill) - 1 hour 21 mins build time, 6M of filament.

    Classic Dalek Pivot

If printing the Genesis 5.5" Tapered Eye Stalk - The pivot should not be printed first in the event that the pivot insert shears & can't be refitted.
Print with a raft to allow ease of joining the halves.
PivotJan8FFV4.stl - Flat faced (no insert for eye stalk) with threaded bar channel - Choose this one if you have a eye stalk that will not fit into the 1" insert (or if the insert has sheared during the printing).
PivotJan8INSV4.stl - Insert 1" diameter 1.1cm depth hole to accommodate straight or tapered eye stalks.
Print the guide 4mm diameter pin for ease of assembling the two halves if required.
Print time on standard profile MB Replicator 2 should take about 2.5 - 3 hours & use 2.5 39g (0.09IIb) on standard quality print settings for each half.

    Oil Seal with centered secure

This Oil seal is like Kresty,s file also found in this section, however I was not after a Disco version of Dalek (  at least not yet, I do have future plans for Kresty.s oil seal surround) so it has a centered secure piece and a bit thicker edge. I have printed close to 200 of these now and they are sized to fit the 100 mm fillable Christmas ornament.

(future plans - I will use Krestys oil seals for two Daleks that will be replacing my street lamps on either side of my driveway, I will also add an arduino with motion sensor so the dome will follow anyone walking by the end of my driveway) I live in an Amish community and they already think I'm Satan, might as well prove it! :-)

    Free

    NSD Eye Front

I created my own CAD files for the NSD eye to print because I wasn't happy with any that I found, they all needed some unsightly supports.

I designed these to be easy print (I did mine on an Ender 3, came out great) The front section doesn't need supports, orientate it so the front section faces up and it'll print nicely. The back section needs a support in the middle to print the stem, which broke off easily for me. Tolerances are pretty tight and will need some light sanding to make it a little looser. Then you just have to drill your holes for your allen bolts and you're good to go!

This also allows you to decide if you want the two "cuts" on the plunger to be aligned or not.

    Modifications are:
added a groove in VHH-450 tp allow to center VX-225, added grooves in VHD-475 to center VHH-450 with minimal filler Added small cut at top of VHH-425 for more surface when affixing VT-32 Optional, created a spacer to place between the two VX-40 Optional, insert for the arm to help affix to your arm
You will need to print 4x KW-12 and 2x VX-40

Of possible use, As I am still calibrating my printer, to make the sanding easier, I Printed
VHH-400 and VHH-425 so the inside would be facing up to make sanding from support easier, and KW-12 were flat
