Classic Dalek gun cage base rings

Two 29mm rings designed to form the front and back of a classic series Dalek gun cage. Interior dimensions designed to snugly fit 1" conduit, with a slight gap in the center for adding glue.
The 8 holes around the perimeter should be about the right size for the cage pieces if using old coat hangers, but can easily be drilled out to any size required.

This will slide into a magic 8 ball and sit against the inner ring, and the outer hole.
Should keep it nice and sturdy, and allow your alu tube to slide right though.

    Genesis Tapered Eyestalk

    Genesis Eyestalk TaperDec2
As above with 1cm insert into the next revision of the pivot, this insert should now be a solid piece compared to the previous version (should it shear away as per V1 it should fit back in & be pulled into place by the threaded rod as its tightened).

    Genesis Eyestalk TaperDec3
As above .5cm insert into the first printed eye stalk spacer, this insert is smaller than originally planned as to fit on the printer bed of the Makerbot Replicator 2.

The pivot should not be printed first in the event that the pivot insert shears & can't be refitted.

ID of the threaded rod channel is approximately 1.62cm & this is to accommodate the 1.6cm diameter (approx) couplers for the 1.26mm threaded rod as used in my eye stalk design.
Print time on standard MB Replicator 2 should take about 2.5 hours & 40g (0.07IIbs).

Parts currently under (re) development to have a complete stalk assembly (add eye of your choice).

    Pivot mounting.
Pivot with threaded rod channel or with threaded rod channel & insert guide hole.
1.2" diameter .75" long disc spacers with threaded rod channel & insert guide hole.

    Free

    NSD dome rotation gears

This gear and pinion is designed to fit a Lazy Susan which has a diameter for the inner ring of 415mm.  This Lazy Susan is the perfect size to be used on an NSD dome.  it may work for other domes but I've not tested it with anything but an NSD dome. You'll need to print 2 pieces of both the "A" & "B" parts.  the ends have lap joints for stability and the countersunk holes are for 10-32 size bolts.  the height of the gear has been designed so that you can leave the rubber feet that come with the lazy susan on the inner ring in place and the gear will be the same height. you will need to drill holes in the gear where your rubber feet are so it will sit flush with the bottom of your dome rotation plate.
Note: the picture shows the gear sitting on the top of the dome rotation plate but that was just to take the picture.  the gear is mounted on the underside of the dome rotation plate which is why it is the same height as the rubber feet on the inner ring so it sits flush

    Imperial Emperor/Davros Parts

These are the parts for the Imperial Emperor from Remembrance of the Daleks, all in full scale. Please note that I didn't include the skirt, as that is a lot easier to construct from wood or fiberglass. I also didn't slice this set, so people could cut the file to their preferences. I would recommend printing the eye in flexible filament, since I use the straight measurements for its model; the outside is higher than the inside to help make painting it easier. Also, the dome thicknesses vary from 6-8 mm, so if you want it any different thicknesses, feel free to contact me. Please enjoy!

TDP Dome - Whole STL, Plus Meshmixer Cut STL Files

I drafted a TDP dome based on the plans from the forum using Fusion 360, diameter 500mm, height 190mm, arc radius 260mm. I used the revolve function from a sketch to get the dome shape then punched a hole in it where the eye is to go. I split up the dome STL into about 17 pieces (the number varied with on various attempts) using Meshmixer (top tip use plane cut with Cut Type - slice and Fill Type - remeshed fill.

    Eye Ball mk3.stl

It's possible to print the main body (black) in about 11 hours at 0.2 resolution on an Ender 3 with very little support around the base. Infill of 20% is plenty. I've made this for a 30mm diameter eye stalk with a mm to spare.

This was intended as a one-off for my own Genesis Dalek but feel free to tinker.

  10. More information about "NSD 2005 Oil Seal"

    Free

    NSD 2005 Oil Seal

This is my own design for an oil seal replacement.
It's not perfect, as the edges are a little faceted. Although I actually don't mind that myself as it appears more 'machine made' which I think suits a Dalek's appearance.
It incorporates an inner lip, in order to centrally locate your hemisphere. There is also a central part, which has a hole and a hexagon recess for a standard M6 head head bolt. This is to eliminate the requirement for MDF discs or other mounting methods to be stuck inside the hemis.
The idea is, but an M6 bolt through the hole (which is a tight fit to stop it dropping out.. tap it in if need be).
Then put a bead of black silicone in the recess of the oil seal and push the hemi into it. You can silicone inside as well, as there is access to do so.
The central supports are a ribbed structure, to stop the oil seal being able to be pulled away from the skirt easily.
Although the central recess will lock the M6 bolt in place, bear in mind it's still plastic so it will easily break if you put too much torque on the nuts you use to hold the oil seal on with. Best not to use lock nuts, but use normal nuts with spring washers, and some loctite. Nip them up, but don't over tighten them.
Would love some feedback, as this is my first design for a 3D printed Dalek part.

These were made using tinkercad, please also note that the centre whole on the barrel is set to 50mm or around 1 1/2", the plan calls for a central pipe of 1 3/4", I however was unable to source an pipe in that size so I sized down.

    Shawcraft Eye Control

This is a copy of the Shawcraft eye control. The diameter of the "pulley" is 102mm, the same as the eye pivot so should give a 1:1 ratio when rotating the control. There are 4 holes around the outside of the control 8mm in diameter - idea if you have some 8mm dowel left over from the neck struts. The centre hole is 8mm, and the control lock is designed to take an 8mm nut with plastic insert.

Necros/Renegade BASE (only) For Dome Lights

Took a long time and labor... just to get the slits in the bottom part. I used the Plans from the Necros and Renegade Daleks. Some Sanding may be needed after printing. It would be best for you to make a cast of the light part, and when you get those cast maybe you could sell them in the Sec shope for others 🤔
These Lights work perfectly for the Renegade Supreme, but you will need a band around the bottom.

    ball joint clamps

    Weapon ball joint clamps.
You need two of each part, 8 off M6x100mm hex head screws, 8 off M6 mashers, 8 off M6 wing nuts 8 off 3x15 countersunk woodscrews.
The clamps sandwich the 100mm diameter spheres.  Put the M6 bolts into the captive sockets and then screw this onto the inside of the gun box.  Fit the weapons, then the 2nd clamp ring and then the washers and wing nuts.  Adjust how free/tight you want the weapon to be with the wing nuts.
CAD file is in RS Design Spark Mechanical format (free 3D CAD).  If you change the extension to .sdoc then it will also open in Ansys Spaceclaim (not free) and maybe other CAD packages.

    NSD Eye EMA Parts

These are 3d models of the individual pieces of the NSD's eyeball. They were created using the CAD files in our downloads sections. Do to the small size of some the parts, I would recommend SLA or other forms of resin 3d printing. I also made a version of the VT-400 with the MRH-160Ps attached, in case the parts are too small to print individually. Enjoy!

    1960s Egg Cup

This model comprises a 1960s egg cup model used on the Daleks between The Chase and The Evil of the Daleks.
I own a set of original egg cups and this model was made using measurements from the actual item.
It's in OBJ format. There is a second object in the file. This is a cube of precisely one meter in all dimensions. This is an aid for scaling if necessary.

    Neck ring tri-foil holder

This item allows the builder to drill a straight 3/4 inch hole in the neck rings instead of trying to drill 3 small 1/4 inch holes right next to each other at an angle. The angle of the holes puts the tri-foils at the same angle as the neck rings in the Shawcraft Movie Dalek Plans.

  24. More information about "Imperial Dalek: Eye Stalk"

    Free

    Imperial Dalek: Eye Stalk

This is a download for the Imperial Dalek eye stalk. The files are in .stl format making them easy to 3D print or to use as digital references/models. These parts are 1:1 scale and match the most recent revision of the Imperial Dalek plans making it plug and play to print or easy to scale to your Daleks needs. I personally 3D printed these units to create a mold that allows me to cast the part with perfect detail. You can achieve the center reflective disc by printing the part and then covering it with a reflective film as shown in the screenshots above. However, I prefer the none reflective disc on my personal Dalek build. The parts look great as 3D prints alone with some filler and primer and detail work. Recommend printing these parts slow and precise at 15% infill for best results.
(Would love to see any print results from anyone who chooses to share on this thread)

    Details:
Scale - 1:1 (In compliance with Imperial Dalek Plans Version 3.5)
Parts included in this download - Eye Stalk * Eye Piece * Reflector * 4 Stalk Discs * Eye Pivot
NOTE: For ease of assembly, parts have a 0.5mm to 1mm tolerance. The eye Pivot has a 12mm (1/2") hole in the center for a bolt and a larger hole on the backside that can be used to attach a control rod for the eye stalk.

I will keep these files up to date and if you have any suggestions or find any errors please let me know so that I may update the parts.
